O1: To identify and evaluate potential hazards and risks on the workplace environment for the main occupational fields in the RM using the previous KEP project results.

Activities:

1. workplace risk assessment in the main enterprises from the RM;
2. practical application on work-related stress on professional, social, financial or medical areas;
3. identification of strength and weakness of current safety measures and risk assessment procedures in Moldova derived by means of SWOT analysis;
4. comparative analysis on efficacy and effectiveness of existing safety measures and risk assessment procedures adopted in Moldova with respect to Italian good practices;
5. workshop.

Expected results:

1. the knowledge on the main hazards and risks related to the main human activities will be identified and described;
2. a report on occupational risk assessment study in RM will be elaborated;
3. SWOT analysis report;
4. report on the comparative analysis on efficacy and effectiveness of existing safety measures and risk assessment procedures adopted in Moldova with respect to Italian good practices;
5. workshop report.

O2: To evaluate the current situation concerning environmental pollution exposure related to main human activities and impact on the general Moldavian population.

Activities:

1. description of current potential hazards and main environmental risks for the general population in the RM;
2. planning and implementation of a research study on a specific environmental exposure and risks;
3. workshop.

Expected results:

1. the knowledge on the main hazards and risks for the general population related to the main existing human activities in RM;
2. a report on environmental risk assessment study implemented;
3. planning and executing short-term scientific missions/summer school.

O3: To enforce and continue the actual partnership between the RM and Italy, in order to harmonise the research and action methodologies in the field of occupational and environmental health.

Activities:

1. actualization of adopted procedures for occupational risk assessment to European standard basing on Italian experience;
2. presentation of Italian ERA procedures to RM researchers and policy makers;
3. developing and implementing the ERA procedures for RM basing on Italian model and EU standard;
4. elaboration of curriculum on occupational and environmental epidemiology for Master's program in Epidemiology in 2024/2025;
5. training of management for occupational and environmental professionals.

Expected results:

1.  the updated procedures for occupational risk assessment;
2. workshop to present Italian ERA procedures to Moldavian researchers and policy makers;
3. the elaborated procedures for environmental risk assessment based on Italian experience;
4. new curriculum on occupational and environmental epidemiology for Master's program in Epidemiology in 2024/2025;
5. training of researchers and managers involved in occupational and environmental.
